Introduction

My name is Diana Beck. Welcome to my website in which I will introduce you to my counselling approach.

I have been counselling in the Epsom, Sutton and Leatherhead areas for 10 years now and have wide experience from working both in private practice and with respected local counselling services.

As a counsellor, I am committed to building relationships of confidence and trust with my clients, so that we may think together about their experience sensitively and non judgmentally.

Choosing your counsellor is an important decision. Therefore I have set out the range of my experience in these web pages to help you think about whether my counselling may be of help to you.

Who could benefit from counselling?

As individuals we each learn to cope with life experiences in different ways and these coping mechanisms sometimes come under strain. I have experience supporting people in counselling in the following emotional circumstances.

This can because of known stresses over which you have no control, or feel that you have no control such as

  • Loss and Bereavement
  • Relationship changes and conflicts
  • Work or school related relationships
  • Trauma
  • Managing change
  • Relocation, Redundancy
  • Loss of physical health

Or as symptoms 'telling' you that something is wrong such as feeling angry, out of control, withdrawn, not your usual self. This may be identified by yourself or others as

  • Anxiety
  • Depression

Or you may be stuggling with the confidence to be comfortable with yourself or to change your direction in life and need to work through confused and distressing feelings relating to your

  • Identity
  • Sexuality
  • Spirituality
  • Cultural background
  • Life stage changes such as adolescence, becoming a parent, or facing retirement

In my experience counselling can help you explore, manage and come to terms with a wide range of problems.

An Epsom Downs based Counselling Service
